Raise your hand if you buy way too much off Amazon, but it is hard not to since it offers so much? Well my hand is raised! It absolutely blows my mind how much is on Amazon and that it is basically a one stop shop. It is crazy! You can even buy running gear off Amazon. Which is super convenient and prevents you from having to go to a special store to potentially get what you need. In a previous post, I mentioned what are my top running essentials and now I am here to say what of my running essentials that I can get off Amazon. Plus two-day shipping is a bonus!

Here are my 5 running Amazon finds that will help with your runs:

Balega

Balega Socks

If you are someone who is struggling with blisters, it could be because of the socks that you are using. For the longest time, I thought that I was wearing the wrong shoes even after being tested for. I would think that out of the options I was given that I picked the wrong shoe and that is what was causing my blisters. Well lets just say that it was not my shoes that were causing me blisters.

It was my socks. After reading other posts on what could be causing blisters, I decided that it was time to try out different socks. The socks I had been using were Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour so I assumed they were good for running. When in reality they were not true running socks. That is when I made the switch to Balega and ever since then I do not blister in the one spot I always would. One of my favorites is the hidden comfort socks!

Body Glide

Body Glide

Another option for helping with blisters is Body Glide. I also use this and between using both, I am blister free. For some it might be a combination or one or the other kind of deal. Both are what works best for me and guarantees that I will be pain free from blisters.

Body Glide does more than just help with blisters. It can also help with chafing so if your clothes rub you in wrong places then body glide can help. This product has multiple different functions that it can be used by so many. For me I use the blue Body Glide but see no difference between the blue and pink one. So if you need help with friction being caused in places you do not want then I highly recommend you using Body Glide.

SPI Running Belt - Amazon Running

Running Belt

As mentioned in my previous post about running essentials, I use two different running belts depending on if I am racing or the distance of my runs. After looking on Amazon, there are so many options that I am able to get both kinds of belts for my runs. It is nice having options in one spot, making it easy.

If you do not have a running belt, I recommend that you get one because it is so helpful to have. Everyone is different with what they require or need during their runs, but a running belt is great for being able to store what you need. A running belt I would suggest looking at the SPI running belt. It is perfect for those who are needing minimal storage such as their phone and a few small items since it only has one pocket. It would be for those training runs or runs that require minimal supplies.

Collapsible Water Bottle

Collapsible Water Bottle

For me, water is a must while running. I can count on a hand the amount of runs that I have done where I have not brought water with me. Without water, I find it hard to complete runs so I make sure I always have it. Initially I started off with a water backpack which was great for long runs but not so much on short runs. So I started to bring water bottles with me, which was a perfect amount for the runs I was doing, but not great for the environment.

After looking into different water bottles that were smaller and not a backpack, I was able to find something that fit what I was looking for. With plastic water bottles, I liked that I could crush the water bottle as I was drinking the water. Making it easier to hold since it molded to my hand more than if the plastic was hard. Having a reusable water bottle that did that would be great. I found this one where it holds the amount of a water bottle, collapses like a bottle but is reusable. Many different brands have the same product, but I use the blue one thats says Aonijie on it.

Cooling Towels

Depending on where you live, this could or could not be an essential when running. In this Texas heat, I find that having a cooling towel around my neck is a must for some of these runs. Especially with all the humidity, it can be hard to keep the sweat away and my body from overheating. Not only that but the towel helps with keeping the sun off my neck so that I do not get a sunburn.

Through seeing what others find as their essentials for running, I was able to find these towels. Someone had mentioned what they found was key to running in high temperatures and having microfiber towels was it. After looking at different brands, I was able to find these towels off Amazon and they have been great especially on runs that I do during the afternoon. Running in the afternoon is not what I usually do but sometimes it is the only time during the day. These runs are hot as the sun is right above and there is the least amount of shade. Having these towels helps with getting through the runs.

Amazon is a one stop shop and has made it easy to get my running essentials at an affordable price and in a timely manner. There is so much out there and not everyone has the time or money to go to special stores to purchase what they need for running. If you are a beginner to running, I would say that getting Body Glide and running socks, whether that is from Balega or another company, are the most important items. The other items are personal preference on what you need during runs, but preventing blisters is key to being able to continue to run.
