Calling all brides and maids of honor. If you are planning a bachelorette weekend and are looking for some gift bag ideas, let me help. This year I am going to be a bridesmaid in my cousin’s wedding and recently went to her bachelorette weekend. So I am here to share what I received in my bag, which will hopefully give you an idea on what to include in yours.
For a little background, my cousin’s bachelorette weekend happened in Charleston, South Carolina. So the theme of the bag revolved around items that you would need at the beach.
Here are 6 awesome items to include in your bachelorette gift bag:
Regardless of whether you are going to the beach, lake, the mountains, or any city, a cup is a great idea. Now I know everyone does cups, but trust me it is worth doing. Having the cup was great because it came in handy throughout the whole trip. That cup came with us on the boat, to the beach and the pool, and the party bus. It was definitely one of the most used item in the bag. Also, adding customization to the cup helps make it special and allows for everyone to know whose cup is whose. Perfect for big parties!
Not only is a cup great for the trip, but is also something that your bridesmaids can use after the trip. Which including items that are able to be used beyond the trip will make it worth the value and fun!
Now this item is tailored more towards beach or lake trips, but can work for any trip. So you can be in a city and still include it if a pool day is in your plans. Giving towels is great for these kinds of trips because it allows for everyone to have a cute towel, but not have to worry about bringing one. Not to mention everyone’s towel matches so it is cute having them all lined up on the beach.
The towel that I received in my bag was thin which was perfect, because it worked well for hanging out by the pool, on the beach and boat, but was not too bulky to put in my suitcase.
An item that comes in handy, a recovery pouch. It is great because it allows you to include miscellaneous things in it that will come in handy throughout the weekend, but are some times forgotten about. Some of the items that were included in my pouch were eye patches, Liquid IV, sunscreen, and makeup remover.
There are some many different things that you can include which allows you to make it unique to your trip. On our trip, the eye patches where a huge hit with everyone using them in the mornings after late nights.
This item is also something that is tailored towards the lake or beach, but is easy to trade out. For example, if you are going to Nashville you could include cowboy hats instead. There are so many different hats options that regardless of where you go or what you are doing for your bachelorette trip, a hat would be a great item. Not to mention, having fun and custom hats make for great pictures and a fun way to match with each other. Also, hats allow for you to have fun with themes!
If you are looking for a fun idea to do one of the nights of the trip, I would recommend a spa night. It is fun, simple, and easy to do where everyone will have fun! For our trip, we original planned to do it on the first night once everyone got in, but ended up doing it the next morning. Doing it the next morning was perfect, because it was something fun and easy to do that got us feeling fresh and ready for our boat day. So if you are looking for a chill morning or evening activity, then I would recommend adding in a spa kit to the gift bags.
Last but not least, designing a cute and custom bag that will hold all the fun goodies and be used by your bridesmaids beyond the trip. Canvas bags are a huge hit and on trend and can be used for just about any trip. For our bags, they were cavas and everyone had their name added on in a white sparkly cursive font. It was super cute and made it convenient for everyone to know whose bag is whose.
If you can not tell already, customization was a big theme with some of these gifts as it made it easy for everyone to know which is theirs. Not to mention customization adds a little something extra to the gifts which makes it fun. So do not be afraid to add your special touch to it!
Being creative and having fun is what it is all about, so do not stress too hard about being perfect. At the end of the day what you do and do not include is what makes your gift bags special and unique to your trip and bridesmaids. If you have any other ideas on what to include the bags, let me know! I would love to hear how everyone got creative with it.
